Hey everyone whats going on? my name is Nelson and Im new to the forum Im in need of a little advice on some bass amps any responses would be greatly appreciated so heres a little background info Im primarily a guitarist and have been for the last 6 years recently I got an opportunity to join a rock cover band as a bass player they play about 2-3 times a week, get paid and travel all over the south east so I agreed to learn the setlist and go audition especially since guitarists are a dime a dozen where I live and I was having a hard time finding a band so I went out and bought a cheap Peavey Millennium BXP bass to practice on as its all i could afford at the time got home and the first song I learned was Crazy Train Keep in mind I had never touched a bass in my life prior to this and I soon realized that I love the bass just as much or maybe even more than I love playing guitar so thats basically how I got started playing bass but unfortunatley all the guitar knowledge I have attained over the years is usless as I have found playing bass is a whole new world to me but anyways im basically going to need a great sounding rig that can handle bars/clubs and outdoor gigs and can cut through the mix with a loud guitarist and drummer I was looking into Gallien Krueger maybe a 800RB 700RB or Fusion 550 and on the other hand was looking into a MarkBass Little Mark III I have played a MarkBass rig at a gig that someone let me use and thought it sounded great but I dont want to limit myself so if their are any other amp suggestions you have feel free to let me know I would also like to know what cabinet recomendations you have im a rock player and some of my favorite bassists are Duff Mckagan Rudy Sarzo Niki Sixx Robert Trujillo etc..
