Hi i'm looking into getting a new amp and maybe a head. Right now i have a behringer 100 watt amp that's not loud at all and sounds like crap. What are the basics stuff to know about amps and heads. Like Ohms and wattage. Isn't there a certain formula where the more isn't quite better. Thanks for the tips!!

See the 'sticky' at the top of the amps forum re ohms/watts etc.
That'll help a lot.
Go for 300w head, & suitable 4x10 or 2x12 cab to match. Depending on your needs.
Play as many as you can, use this forum for help & pick one YOU like the tone of.
