Benefits of 2 of the same

Sign in to disble this ad
I currently own an Epifani PS112 and a TC Electronics 210 cabs.

What would be the benefit of adding another of either one of the cabs? Besides Volume.

I have coupled them together but never in the mix and I don't know if I am liking the sound of them together. I do realize that putting the two together is a crap shoot. I don't know but I think it lost.

Most of the time running two cabinets of different manufacturers just doesn't work, they aren't designed to work with each other. If you need more power I suggest listening to both cabinets by themselves and decide which one you like the best, and then get the same one. This way you're just doubling the sound you like.

Will you double the low end or just volume?

Mostly volume, but you'll be pushing more air so you will add a little low end. If you're looking for more low end and like the TC 210 tone, the TC RS212 pairs really well with the 210.

Yes, "coupling" is like magic- you get more of the same, and then some. The 2 identical cabs equal MORE than the sum of it's 2 parts. It's like 1+1=3.
