Bergantino 2xAE112 vs AE112/AE210

Sign in to disble this ad
I asked this question in the main Bergantino thread but only got a couple of responses. I'm hoping to get a few more in a dedicated thread.

I just sold my AE410 (loved the sound just too big to move). I currently have an AE112 and would like to add another cabinet to it. I'm thinking I could either add a second AE112 or pair my current one with an AE210.

Can anyone help me out with the tonal differences between these two cabinet pairs? For reference, I tend to favor tight bass and a slight upper mid boost.

Thanks.

Matching cabs are ALWAYS the best pair.

However, I believe Ken will vouch for this suggested pairing. Assuming my deal on an AE112 goes through, I will be able to try it out soon.

I think there are more than a few of us with the AE210/112 pair. I certainly like it, but I haven't had 2 of either to compare it to. Doing my best to match volumes, I like the two together a lot more than I like either one on its own.
