In your opinion is the berg worth the approx. $300 over the GK, and why or why not? |

I don't know many people who have regretted buying their cabs. If you're on a budget it seems like the GK is a good value. I own an AE112, haven't played a GK 112 Neo but would like to hear one. None in my local stores though. |

But I don't believe I've ever heard a GK in any size/configuration that sounded as good or better than a Bergantino. Just sayin. ...I LOVE my AE410 Bergie. It waaaay outperforms a GK410 IMO. But the 112 cabs might bridge the gap. Hmmmm. Subscribed.

It's very portable and I can get loud with my TB500 and never worry about the speaker. Worth every penny unlike some cheap cab makers masquerading as boutique builders...you know who I am talking about.
That said...GK stuff is great value. I have had GK equipment (2x10 combo, RB head) and liked it and it was reliable. I sold it for more high end equipment. |

In a knock-down, drag-out, only one survives fight to the death, I do think that the Berg would win. But the GK would go all 12 rounds. Ultimately, the Bergantino tweeter/crossover win the day. In addition, the Berg will take pretty much all the power you want to throw at it (within reason), but the GK does reach a point where you can tell it doesn't want to be pushed harder (though that's well beyond "gig volume" IME/IMHO). I'll give the nod to the GK for more balanced response throughout the lows/mids, and it has an even more powerful sounding low end (the Neo112-II is in between the HT112-ER and the AE112 in this regard).
So, my overall champ would be the Berg, but if you include the bang for the buck factor, then the GK wins, for sure. |

I use the GK MB Fusion amp and I am very happy with the sound. Also the portability is great as well. Price being what it is the GK products are reasonable in my opinion. |

For although the specs can be objectively measured and reported, the evaluation of those characteristics is always dependent upon one's individual priorities and needs.
In this case, although the AE112 may edge out the Neo 112-II, at least on paper, for my particular preferences the GK is definitely more suitable. The relative price break is just icing on the cake...

MM | Absolutely! I could see many players who prefer the Neo112-II over the AE112. |
