In the frenzy over the impending disappearance of neo cabs, I went over to Bass San Diego today to buy out their remaining stock of Jim's AE-series cabs. It turned out they have more cabs than I can afford, so I ended up with an AE210. (In fact I have to sell a couple cabs to cover the cost of that one ... they're in the ads).

Anyway, it's so cute, but its looks and weight are deceiving. It's really full in the way-down, with nice tone and volume across the spectrum. You can definitely hear that it's tens, because it lacks a little of the low mid richness of the AE212. The best part is it fits easily into the trunk of my car.

I'm getting too old to lug around heavy cabs and heads all the time. There is a possibilty that I will be divesting myself of all my young man's rigs in the not-too-distant future. Stay tuned for updates.

Not long ago I traded up my Eden cabinets for an AE210 and an AE410. Zero regrets. These are great cabinets that are as pleasing to the back as they are to the ear!

I have a pair of AE210s. I'm done buying cabs.
