Bergantino cab help

Sign in to disble this ad
To the esteemed TB'ers,
I'm holding a single raw 10". It's a pull from Jim's Sadowsky SA410 (a custom Eminence). I'd like to put the bugger in a small 10 cab (maybe even something sealed). I've no idea the specs on the speaker other than it's 16ohm and presumably 200w as the SA410 was an 800w cab. Fwiw, I can drive it with a Streamliner 900 which would give it say, +-300w, assuming it's safe to use the STM-900 to a 16ohm load. Any suggestions?

Hey Larry

It might be easier to make a 2x10 box at 8ohm.

You can use exactly half the internal volume of the original 2x10.

Not sure how ports should be changed though.

Thought about a 210 but, it would involve purchasing another speaker from Jim, plus, I'm really looking for something small.
Also, I'm not savvy enough nor do I have the tools and space to build my own. Thx for chiming in though.
