I showed these pics in my original IP112/EX112 thread, but since i have moved to the ER versions, i thought they deserved there own project thread and review (IP112ER gets here tomorrow, and i'll probably get it done over the weekend). Summit + Berg "ER" review to come!
More to come! I'm applying a duratex finish, similar to what Jim uses on the Berg cabs. Not as rough (or durable) as Line-x, but also not as knee/skin scrape-able either Also picked up some AE style feet and corners, for a nice updated look to these great cabs (as you can see in the first post, dog + hairs + cabinet = no bueno
Drilled and filled everything (there's some dental lingo for ya). $20 makes for a nice clean hole via the foster bit!
Gotta get to school in a few, but here are some pics:

Ha, Jim actually discouraged me from attempting it as well, but for some reason, i just can't stand carpet! I mean, when it's BRAND new, it looks nice, but after that, it just looks, well, eh...

i think i saw your thread a while back...good stuff! I have always liked the DIY-ness of Line-x and similar coatings, and ever since i sold my AE210, i missed the feel of those cabs (and its aesthetics) very much! Jim's finish is a little more orange peel, which could be easily accomplished with a smoother roller than i picked out. I used the "roller grade" Duratex stuff; the "spray grade" is less viscous and gritty, so it naturally provides an orange peel finish when sprayed. Whatever floats your boat. I don't have spray equipment, so i *thought* the roller grade was the way to go. Hindsight is better than foresight, and i should have gotten the spray grade to have a more orange peel finish. Mine is just a tad bit more rough than Jim's (and i could be just forgetting what jim's feels like too!)
IP112ER is "out for delivery" and come friday afternoon, it's conversion begins too!
