buying two is obviously going to be more expensive then one NV215 was.

I'm excited about this, but also still sour from not being able to get a 2nd NV412. When I bought my first NV412 it was with the intentions of getting a second if the first performed as expected (and it did!). But now that I can't get a second NV412 (even if I had it paid for and ordered before any discontinued talk had started) i'm left with one cab of what had been planned for as a pair. Am i going to have to order FOUR NV115 in a shot to get a matching bunch like I need/want? that much cash for a less then ideal setup is not too tempting.

I'm only interested in one, mostly for gigs that call for an old school tone. I wonder if it will be as efficient as the rest of the NV series? I can get away with running only one speaker cabinet as an onstage monitor. It would be really great in the cumbia band I'm in right now. And I'm just guessing at the price range. An HD210 is around $800 new. This being a 2 speaker cabinet, I just threw out a ballpark figure.

I'd say that's a safe bet.

I'm thinking one, but...if it performs as I expect, I may end up getting two and selling my NV610. It'd be more expensive, but the added flexibility and portability could be worth it.

The NV412's come up for sale in the classifieds every once in a while.

The more I think about it, the more I realize that this cab may be what I've been asking for. A tight, punchy, sealed cab with better top end. I'll be watching this closely. Im pretty sure that I'll have to get one though. Just got an AE410 today that sounds great but, sealed really is my thing.

I've been using both of them for a loud ass rock band fill-in I've been doing... One would be plenty for most of my gigs and I'd probably could just use one on that gig...
Looking forward to hearing them with different amps...

Have you tried the HS410 Chris? Still ported but from what I've read seem to be voiced closer to what you and I might like in a cab.

cab

I've owned the HS210 and it was pretty good. I just got the ae410 from a TB'er today. It's just a great cab but, I already know that I prefer the punch of the nv610. The Hs410 would get in that range but, Im looking for a lighter weight alternative to the nv610. A brighter cab as well. I'll most likely sell the AE410 to fund a NV115. I mean really, Im loving my 610 so, Im not going to a gig wishing that I had something else. Only when Im dragging it through the snow on the way home. Im probably going to get one of the nv115 cabs and Don will be working on a 4x10 loaded with 2510II drivers, tuned more like my 610. One of those cabs will give me the nv610 alternative. I've got about 4 really sweet cabs at home right now. Thats not a bad thing at all!

Not for me it wasn't. If I wanted em,I hadda ship em. Not regretted one.
I loved the NV215 I had (probly shouldn't've sold it) but I'm extremely happy with the NV412

shipping's no big deal. I've had cabs shipped from Alberta, Germany, California etc.

A big reason that the manufacturers discontinue products is the availability on the used market. It's hard to ad value selling the same product for decades (especially if it's built to last decades!). And some dealers still have them so they are still in the distribution channel.

Sure saying good bye to the opportunity to buy brand new 610's and 412's is tough, but the re emergence of 15's is going to make more players happy.

In fact, you'll probably see an even bigger availability of used 412's as players migrate to the more modular 115's. And the average condition of those used 412's will be better than ever. In fact you couldn't have asked for a better opportunity to benefit! (you're the only player I've ever heard of that wants two!)

Imagine if you'd received the last new NV412 only to see many, mint condition, NV412s in the classifieds, for hundreds less, the very next day...

...the glass could actually be be half full.

Hey thanks for posting the pic, my question is when is Jim planning on releasing these for sale to the market cause I'm definitely buying one of these.
Is there any specs yet for the NV115?
You think where looking at Spring or Summer for these cabs?
