Bergantino NV610 & NV412 discontinued

Just heard about this:bawl:

I'd really like to see a NV series cab with a tweeter. Maybe even a 3 way cab.

I don't know anything more than that. I couldn't imagine there being no NV model available at all. Perhaps a redesign is coming.

Those cabs have been on the market for quite some time. My guess is, sales have fallen off and Jim is 'cleaning out his product line'. He does that quite often.

Jim always has stuff in the works. My guess is, he will announce some new stuff this year.

I hope they blow them out! I know they won't, but still...

adivin 01-09-2013 09:36 AM

The NV is still on the Berg web site.

He kept the AE's up there for about 6 months after they were discontinued. Nice for information support for those buying used, and in the case of the NV's, according to the Rocket Music site, there are still quite a few NV610's left in the retail system.

Always fun when Jim announces the end of a particular line. That means there will be the start of a new line!

dDaddybass 01-09-2013 09:40 AM

While he has inventory, it will be on the web site.

While this is sad news it is also quite exciting. I await with interest Jim's next development. So long as he continues with a sealed cabinet design in his line then I am already starting to have gas for his next development. Or maybe we will see the return of the NV215???

I would definitely like to see Jim bring back a cabinet with at least 115 in it........two would be nice.

Unfortunately, no complaints from me on the nv412 being discontinued. I had one and did not like it at all in comparison to the NV215 or NV610 (hides behind brick wall) :hiding:

He could also bring back the HT322 if he so desires..........that was a winner too! :bassist:

astack 01-09-2013 10:38 AM

Bummer!

I'm hoping for some meiosis action with the new stuff. I'd love an NV212 or NV310 or NV115. Pretty please, Jim?

Tim1 01-09-2013 10:42 AM

Or an NV115 or NV610 with neo speakers perhaps - a sealed cab with neos would be interesting but I think Jim moved away from neodymium because of cost issues. Things might have changed on that front though.

dDaddybass 01-09-2013 10:56 AM

+1 on the 115, along with a 5". 1/2 of an NV215:eek:

Throw in a tweeter and a 3 way crossover and I'm done.

I think it's very unlikely that he will replace them with any new sealed designs. He's done 10, 12, and 15 designs, so not much left. Similar designs with half the drivers don't put out enough useable SPL for most folks so I doubt he would go that route.

dDaddybass 01-09-2013 04:32 PM

Hhhhhmmmmm. Ya never know.

Why stop sealed designs? Big cabs aren't selling?

oinkbanana 01-09-2013 10:10 PM

jokerjkny 01-09-2013 11:39 PM
