Best 2x12 Cab?

been looking through the threads for some new options. I've seen whats on most popular sites like musicians friend, and heard of a couple down home companies - lophat, earcandy, but still looking for other options.

i wanted the earcandy - but cant wait 5 months to get one, now im thinking the genz benz 2x12 cause i know i can score one.

any other suggestions?

Not a two by 12 but a very good 1x10 and 1x12, as well as 2x10.

Cabs often depend on your weighting of the decision factors, but two great options IMHO are the GK Neo 212-II and the Mesa PowerHouse 600W 212. GK was my choice due to cost and weight. If I had roadie and a different wife (you figure it out) I'd have gone with Mesa.

I like the Mesa as well. A bit on the heavy side, but worth it IMO.

dont get the 500 watt neo's unless your not going to be pushing it. But get the delta 1000 watt cab(they offer them now as an upgrade)
You will not be dissapointed
Just remember, although some people will doubt the theory. When you recieve the cab it will be needed to break it in for a short while, but after that...
WOW

They are available locally. I don't own one, but I have auditioned them a couple of times. I like them and wouldn't hesitate too pick up a couple of them. I own a couple of 12" Scout Radiators. I like those, too.

Mesa at GC

I played the Mesa 212 with the 700RB-II at Guitar Center in Natick, MA.

It is sweet, but the GK Neo was heavy enough for me (old guy...)

best is kind of subjective... for me, the Bag End D12 is the best 2x12 on the market.

The Eden 212XLT is a sweet cabinet indeed. I ran a pair of them for a long time. My personal favorite 212 is the GB Uber212... It is an old school sounding cabinet yet very clean and tight at higher volumes vs the 212XLT. JMHO

From a purely engineering standpoint I'd only consider one with vertically aligned drivers. AFAIK that brings the choices down to the G-B Neox and....and....well, somebody else will have to chime in if they know of another.

Vertically aligned Epifani T212NYC, albeit heavy, but I still have mine and it has proven itself on big stages for almost a decade now
