best amp brand for jazz and cotemporary rock

im confused my teacher only likes about one brand of amp id like more of arange than that
i need some advice here
i play jazz with a 33 piece band
i play cotemporary with a 10 - 14 piece band
and i play celtic, rock, funk, bluegrass and all other styles of music not comonly played by an orchestra with an alternative strings
need about a 300 watt head any suggestions?????

On your other thread, you mentioned you wanted to go head and cabinet seperate. That eliminates combos and narrows the field a bit. What would really help is your budget.

33 piece jazz band?

Your budget would help in giving suggestions.

Right now, I'm really digging the Genz ShuttleMax 12 with Bag End S15-D cabs.

Get a Fender Head. I know most favor others ( Ampeg,etc. )but a nice solid hybrid head is the TB1200 which I run through a Fender 215Pro cab. This blows your budget but ... Something worth keeping would cost more than $500 new ImO....You could also look at other cabs such as the Ampeg115.

yeah i know a 33 piece jazz band is uncommon
