Best Amp for my Bass

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi Everyone I have jast rejoined I was a member once when I played a fretless Fender, I recently moved to Upright DB which I have taken to like a duck to water . I tried my bass amp with it a tricked up Beringer ( Eminance speaker Valve pre amp and a small pre amp eq) I hated the sound so I borrowd a roland 100 cube for a gig It sucked too it would boom on certain notes no matter how I set the EQ, so in desperation I plugged into the P A it was brilliant , no hot spots just a natural sound , even through the fold back monitors 8" no problems or distortion. the PA is self Powered A T. Accoustic Tecnology ( Queensland Manufactured with Italian speakers and Spanish Power amps 2 12 s Front of house and 8 " monitors. its ngreat I dont have to cart an amp now .anmyone had a similar experience

Nothing wrong with a straight PA that doesn't colour sound as long as your speakers can handle the frequency. Jamerson recorded a ton of hits going straight into a mixer. Chef seems to like the WalkAbout for double bass.
