Best Bass Amp Under £350

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm looking into getting a new Combo/Head+Cab for band and home use (Not so much home but i will every so often) for around £350. I'd prefer a 410 but i can do with 12's or 15's. Also looking for atleast 200-300 watts. Anyone any suggestions?

Take a look at the Ashdown Combos - the MAG 300 EVO II combos come in around your budget.

£350 in US dollars is approx $550-$600 from memory, and yes i have been looking at the Ashdown combos, just wondering if there is anything else out there i could look into.

The exchange rate is GBP1.00 = USD1.563 so GBP350 is about USD550.00.

I found this:

http://www.theacademyofsound.co.uk/P...ombo_EX_ARTIST

Which by the sounds of it, will have come off a club venue tour. It's a bargain at that price, and to buy new will be around half that again. I can vouch for Ashdown MAG, as i have the 2x10 and 1x15, and I think it sounds beautiful. Others may have varying opinions, but I think you'd be happy with it.

As with just about anything, however, there is a catch. The catch with this amp will be the weight, as its a head and a fairly weighty cab all attatched. 44kg

If you think you can deal with that then I strongly suggest you grab that one!

Tere's lots of stuff available but here in North America we have no idea what's available in the UK. May I suggest you do the tour of the music shops and on-line resources for used gear. Good luck in your search.

You could see if you are able to get the GK MB combos over in Manchester.

i believe the Acoustic b200h/b115 package plus an extra 15 would run you about $600. It's a good amp, and pretty well regarded around here. 'Course, I don't know if you can get this across the pond.

I can get the GK MB Combos over here, but it seems like it would be cheaper to import them, as they are roughly the same in pounds as they are in dollars. I'll take a look into Laney, i tried one of their amps a while back and it wasnt too bad, could be an option. Thanks for the help already guys.

After shopping around for a few days i have come up with a few options.

Ashdown MAG C210T-300-EVO2
Fender Rumble 350
Laney RB-7
Marshall MB4410 (Maybe)

Probably the one i'm least likely to get is the Fender, as you cannot add an extension cab, But does anyone have any other suggestions?

I'm practically set on the Ashdown Little Giant 350 and MAG EVO II 210T Cabinet, anyone have any reason not to go for that option? Thanks in advance

I have the Mag EVO II 210t. I first had the Evo Blue 180 with a 1x15. It just didn't cut it but the MAG EVO II does. Get a nice punchy side and flexible EQ.

I am thinking of getting the 210 extension cab too just to beef it out a bit.

I got a good deal from electromusic in Doncaster, England. Very friendly and very knowledgeable.
