with so many manufacturers these days offering so many different features/advantages, which is the best in your opinion? i've thought about this for some time now and have not really had the opportunity to try enough brands.
so......
which brand makes the Loudest amps?
which brand has the best features? what are they?
which brand offers the best tone shaping? versatility!
which brand has the best visual styling?
which brand offers the best value for money?
these are the sort of details i'm looking for, PLEASE, NO FLAMING, i'm looking for opinions formed from personal experience, not "my mate says xxxx amp is the mutts nutts, so it must be"
specs, prices, and photo's would be cool too

I have a great little setup going where I get the best of both worlds. I have the hartke LH500 and a Gallien krueger MB500. The hartke gives me that vintage tubey sound. The GK gets the growly, punchy and modern sound. I think GK has the best all around sound IMO and hits all your requirements. Its powerful, has tons of features, and the price is sooooo right.

The loudest amp? They are all silent without a speaker cab. I take that back there were some Ampegs with really loud cooling fans?
Best value for your dollar IMO/IME is G-K, I can get any sound I want from them with little trouble. Some people need more knobs to turn?
GenzBenz, Mesa, Carvin, Ampeg, Peavey, Marshall...... Take your choice. Mine after many decades was G-K, it may not be yours?

Sheesh! That's easy!
To the north there lies a cave, the cave of Kyre Banorg, wherein, carved in mystic runes upon the very living rock, the last words of Ulfin Bedweer of Regett proclaim the last resting place of the best bass amp. Within the cave, the carving reads, "Here may be found the last words of Joseph of Aramathea. He who is valiant and pure of spirit may find the best bass amp in the Castle of uuggggggh."
