Best cab for fingerstyle w/ lods of mids?

Sign in to disble this ad
What would you guys recommend for fingerstyle metal with loads of mids?

412? 410? 610?

I'm currently running a Avatar B212 that gives lots of good mids, but I need more speaker area for more volume... what would be good?

I'm thinking I'm gonna have Don at LowDown Sound build my next cab... but I'm not exactly sure what I want yet!

Suggestions?

Cab shopping is fun!

Be sure to not lock yourself into just speaker area. Far more important is speaker area and xmax combined (i.e., total displacement).

Don at LDS makes some killer cabs using the Eminence 3015LF driver and a mid driver with a crossover at 800hz. It's called the 15/6 (modeled after the Greenboy fEarful). I currently have two on order with Don.

Have fun!
