Best cab to go with a Trace Elliot AH1000-12 head?

Sign in to disble this ad
My brother recently bought a Trace Elliot AH1000-12. It's an old one, pre-gibson. I said I'd help him find the right cab. We've both heard terrible things about any peavey-made trace stuff. So he's trying to find an old trace, or was thinking of an ashdown or an ampeg.

He wants a pretty rich, deep sound, and has an £800 budget.

Neither of us really know enough about it to make a good choice.

Any suggestions?

Is it a 12-band EQ? You need the BFC cab. I think I have the manual for this amp. No $ now but in the future if you ever want to sell it...

That's a mean amp. Must be biamp, 2x 500w power stages? A couple of 1518 from back in the day would be worth hanging out for. There was a 2x15 sold cheap on ebay.uk some months ago. They are out there.
