Close to buying an eden bass amp. Leaning towards the Eden WT800C, but is there another Eden which is Bi-amped and comparable to the WT800?

Not sure how much power you’re looking for but I am super impressed with the WTX500. I have a WT800A and previously owned a Navigator but found myself bringing the wtx500 along everywhere. It has incredible Eden tone and fits in your gig bag. Very comparable to each other. I've A/B'd them numerous times and found the WT800 to be slightly warmer but tone wise they are almost identical. Good luck with your search, I’m a huge fan of Eden especially with Epifani cabs. Haven’t found a better combo yet.

You could also check out the new WTDI with a power amp

I own a Metro and a WTX-260. While the WTX-260 (very similar if not the same pre-amp as WTX-500) does sound good, I have had some reliability problems with it. The Metro (which has the same pre-amp/EQ as the WT-800 series amps) has been really solid for me and sounds great as well. I've gigged with someone else's WT-800A and that was a great experience (through two D410XLT cabs!). Out of Eden amps I would personally lean towards the WT-800C.

Thanks for your input guys.

Now...
I definitely don't want to open any old wounds.
However I have spent some significant time reading about some of our fellow TBer's issues with the WT800C and it's terrible grounding and mute function issues.

All I can say is "Yikes!".

The thread is a few years old now, but being in the market for a USED WT800C, i can't help but wonder about the chances that I may buy into the same problems that the others have encountered.

Hopefully, the issues have been resolved, and are no longer a major concern, but as luck would have it, sometimes things HAPPEN!

I am particularly concerned that the money I may save by purchasing used could be devoured pretty quickly if the amp ends up in the hands of it's manufacturer without a warranty.

I shudder to think.

Is there a way to determine first, if the issue was ever resolved on a manufacturing level, and if so, is there a serial number database which may help to determine if a unit was created before or after the issues were brought to light?

I am anxious to hear your comments if you can add to, or diminish my concerns.

Thanks!

But, if your mixed drivers are enclosed in a full range bass cab, what's the point?

:::UPDATE:::

I'm sure that you have all been losing sleep wondering about what I would do about the Eden Quest I was on.
...ok maybe not.

Anyway, I bought a three year old Eden WT800C last night.
It was studio bound for all of it's life I'm told.
The price was good ($650) but the one thing about it is that the Enhance knob/pot is broken...well, it's still works, but there is just a nub above the face plate that I can turn.
It needs to be replaced because Eden has already sent me a free knob replacement at no charge.
Thanks Tim!
That request was made before I knew that the previous owner didn't just lose the knob as I initially thought, but actually had broken the stem for the knob off.
So, has anyone replaced the Enhance knob pot on a WT800 before?
Any input is appreciated.

Cool. If you're taking it to a tech, it'll be around an hour of labor, 90% of that is pulling and reinstalling the preamp board. If you're doing it yourself, it's not too bad, just a lot of hardware and connections to keep track of, otherwise a simple repair.
