Been out of the loop for a while loving my wt550. Are there any amps out there now that have surpassed eden or is eden still the best in terms of that hybrid tube amp? |

That deepness and warmth of the eden especially when combined with and eden cab really has my ears
I know for a while markbass was the competition for eden but eden still set the standard and was used by many bass players (especially gospel) is that still that case?

This is not intended to be a slam on the OP, but I wish people would ask questions like "What's your favorite hybrid amp, and why?" instead of "What's the best..."
My favorite hybrid amp these days is an Ampeg SVP-PRO tube preamp and a Crown XLS1500 solid state power amp in a 3-space rack case. |

Mesa Walkabout - Amazing Tube Tone, Great EQ, Not super loud, but if you use a good 4ohm cab it should work in most situations. Works great in the Walkabout combo also.
SVT Pro 7 - Great Ampeg Tone in a hybrid, loud, light, rackable, IMO the best of the hybrid Pro series.

IME, the Genz Benz Streamliner, TC RH450, and Mesa Walkabout "micros" have really got some depth and warmth going on, with my personal preference being the Streamliner. As menitoned in this thread, the SVT 7-Pro, Aguilar TH500, and LMII/III are said to be pretty warm as well, but I don't really have any in-depth experience with them. Going bigger, the Mesa M-Pulse 600 is probably the warmest full-sze hybrid I've ever played.

Love my LH1000
Can't wait for the Hartke Kilo!!
Statement about the different hybrid for different players is bang on the money! We are all different and with so little choice out there for gear compared to guitarists, we should embrace and love what is available, even in its cheapest form!
