| | | | best lightweight cabinets? What's your recommendation for the best lightweight (~65 lbs. or less) cabinets? I'm thinking in terms of maybe a 15" in one and two 10" in another, or a couple stacked 12", etc. Great sound and light weight more important than price. Also open to your thoughts on great heads to match. |

He could build you a pair of greenboy Bassic15's at a crazy low weight. If composite isnt your thing, there are other greenboy builders that work in okoume, that can also push the weight down by quite a bit.

Super small, two of them fit in the (tiny) back seat of a sports coupe,
400 watts rated and only 33lbs.
Stack two of them vertically for a 4x10 line array that is loud and punchy.
Scoring where 0 is the worst and 10 is the best:
Size = 10
Weight = 10
Sound = 9
Price = 5
They are kind of expensive at $600 for a 2x10, but for me it's worth it. I really need the small size for the aforementioned car.

With the idea of the 2x10 + 1x15, I probably won't be the first to mention that the overall consensus on TB is that you should match driver sizes on multiple cabs for the best sound. Doesn't mean that you can't get good tone out of mixed driver sizes but most will tell you that it would be even better if you went with all the same size. FWIW, YMMV...

But you need to wait, i think Alex is very busy.
I ordered mine in 08 Sep 2012, and I'm still waiting.
You will be happy with Barefaced.

I've owned a lot of different cabs and have been impressed with them. Running Puma heads but have been using a Monique tube preamp in front. Ridiculous tone.
