best lightweight cabinets?

What's your recommendation for the best lightweight (~65 lbs. or less) cabinets? I'm thinking in terms of maybe a 15" in one and two 10" in another, or a couple stacked 12", etc. Great sound and light weight more important than price. Also open to your thoughts on great heads to match.

Best is pretty subjective. If you really want to go low weight, I would check out Mike Arnopol's composite builds. He could build you a pair of greenboy Bassic15's at a crazy low weight. If composite isnt your thing, there are other greenboy builders that work in okoume, that can also push the weight down by quite a bit.

Less than 65lbs! You can do a lot better than that. For example a Barefaced Compact (1 x 15) weighs 27lbs.

GB's neo 212 is around 50lbs, plenty of low end. Most of the time you can find a used one at a very reasonable price.

Super small, two of them fit in the (tiny) back seat of a sports coupe,
400 watts rated and only 33lbs.
Stack two of them vertically for a 4x10 line array that is loud and punchy.

Scoring where 0 is the worst and 10 is the best:
Size = 10
Weight = 10
Sound = 9
Price = 5

They are kind of expensive at $600 for a 2x10, but for me it's worth it. I really need the small size for the aforementioned car.

I think 2 x 112 is the 'in-thing' now. At my budget I went with a GK Neo 112.

Genz Benz Uber 212 fits the requirements, and happens to be a top-notch off the shelf cab. Good mix of modern/vintage tone, and LOUD.

I'm happy, happy, happy with my mini Aguilar setup: TH500 + SL112 + SL112. Great tone and the whole thing weighs 55 lbs.

With the idea of the 2x10 + 1x15, I probably won't be the first to mention that the overall consensus on TB is that you should match driver sizes on multiple cabs for the best sound. Doesn't mean that you can't get good tone out of mixed driver sizes but most will tell you that it would be even better if you went with all the same size. FWIW, YMMV...

Baer ML112 is pretty spectacular. 37 lbs and a pair of them will cover pretty much any gig. I've owned a lot of different cabs and have been impressed with them. Running Puma heads but have been using a Monique tube preamp in front. Ridiculous tone.
