Im looking for the cab to get the most volume out of my v4b. Don't really want another 810 and I'm not looking for a clean tone. Just as loud as I can be with one cab. I have plenty of other amps with more head room and yes I can use those with a dirt box but it's not the same. So all positive input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks |

The Berg NV610 get rave reviews, a little smaller and a little lighter but similar tone. Otherwise I'd have to say a 412.
Something like a V4 cab would kick *** if you load it up with 2 Eminence Kappas. Not to mention it'd look wicked with the V4B. |

IME, the E130 is still the most efficient (sensitive) speaker ever offered at 105db @ 1w/1m (and that's not just at 1Khz either). |

John I heard those clips you did with the e130/k140 and such and I liked that first speaker I think it was the e130. How hard are they to come by and will they hold up with what I'm doing. I think I can find a b25b cab cheap. |

their only drwback is that they weigh 22 1/4lbs each, but to me they're worth it. |

The info on the E130s is great....wow, 105db. Low xmax so probably lower power handling on the lower register but two would work fine with a V4 and sealed cab I'd think. Should be midrangey like Yes, etc. |

If you cant find an old one, Monolith still make them: 415-RFL earth shaking 4x15 bass cabinet by MONOLITH Loudspeakers - " W E** S P E A K** V O L U M E S* . . . "
Hmm. I wonder what RFL stands for.
Louder if you find some vintage ultra efficient drivers for it.
Maybe 4 Altec alnico 418 series 2 drivers or 4 K130 JBL's,
then you would be Really Flipping Loud for your 100 watts. |

| | | | a pair of bill fitzmaurice jack 15's or a pair of bag end s12L-d cabs would knock walls down with a tuned up v4b. fughettaboutit |

here's the JBL comparison thread: Vintage 15" JBL comparisons w/soundclips |
