Change out the transformer & tubes in a Epi Valve Jr. and you have a great little amp.

Have you tried the AC4 with a good bass cab yet? I have been wanting to try one.

If it fits in your budget, Ampeg B-15N. 30 watts of pure bliss.

Almost any low wattage tube amp can be used, just make sure it is plugged into a BASS cab of appropriate ohmage.

I need to find a small bass cab and try the AV4. Sounds great with guitar I'm sure it'll sound good on bass. I'm just looking for a tube amp for the bedroom.

Ampeg built quite a few of the SB-12's. It's probably the smallest tube bass amplifier that has a decent sound. Not usually as expensive as a B-15N.

So, I just plugged my AC4 into my old GK410RBH. One of the best bass tones I've heard. Especially with the new SB2 bass.

Yea. I only played it for a minute or two. Just wanted to see how it sounded. Now to find a 16ohm 2x10 or another low watt amp
