Well, I am actually FINALLY getting and Ampeg V-4 !!!
In addition to my current speakers, I would like to have an 8 ohm single 15" cab to use either alone or combined with a 210.
I am definitely after the old school sound. Fat and full. Not new " neo" sounding.
Please suggest some cabs for me. Especially ones that did not have a great original speaker but are great when a better speaker is installed.
Thanks !! |

If it had to move, it would be a TL606 design modded for a neo 3015. There is no 'new neo' sound. There's only drivers. Some neo, some alnico, some ceramic ... the magnet is only part of the equation.
BTW - ping TB'er Singlemalt - He has a couple of those in his garage IIRC and White Salmon, WA isn't all that far from you ... road trip ? Seeing as he's now a fEarful convert, those 606's are gathering dust ...

Buying and trying and selling cabs via shipping is expensive. |

I love this little 15 cab, and it pairs nicely with a 2x10 or a 2x12. |
