Cool Best songs for head/ cab comparrison (sneak peek inside)

I have been abusing my credit limit lately. Call it the product of GAS and finally setting out to find my perfect tone... After selling off my old gear I am now in possession of the following:

Heads:
GK Fusion 550
GK 1001rbII

Cabs:
GK Neo 410
Hartke HyDrive 410
SWR GoLight 410

I am going to be doing a separate thread where I put the 3 cabs head to head to head against each other with (I think) the Fusion 550 as its brains.

OK. To the point. What songs do you guys like to play/ want to see played when you are trying to evaluate cabs? I'm looking for a little input cause I'm coming up blank. I mean I can noodle around but that doesn't seem consistent enough. I think I want to find 3 songs that fit into the following categories:

Pick Style (my weakest area) - something punky maybe?
Finger style - Lots of options here...
Slap - Sinister Minister anyone?

Anyways, thanks for your input and for playing along. Maybe if you're lucky I'll choose your song!

Cheers,
John

If you want to test finger-style bottom end try "Flight of the Cosmic Hippo" by Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. Victor sounds really good on it playing a fretless 5-string and gives the B-string a good workout. I like to test subwoofers with this song as it is very demanding.

Of course in going to chime in with a Rush tune.

"Leave that thing alone" is one of my favorite tone checking songs. It hits a broad range and needs to be deep, sweet, shimmery, and articulate.

It's also fairly easy to play consistently.

+1 for longview.

another pick style suggestion: Joe Jackson, Is She Really Going Out with Him

This one may be a little easier to learn if you're not comfortable with a pick.
