Best value lightweight amp for gigging?

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi,

Looking to buy a lightweight amp for playing live in small halls and spacious bars. No particular price, but it must be good value for the money, i.e. not cheap and cheerful, nor deluxe and overpriced. What would you recommend I get?

Thanks,

Eddie.

"Best value" means buying used; so if you need to kick the tires before you buy, the answer depends on what's available used in your area.

Beyond that, what kind(s) of gigs do you do, what tone(s) are you after, and how much is stage volume a factor?

Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 can be purchased for $699 or much less used, very lightweight, loud and has a great DI for FOH.

and RMC Audio will discount them even further with their email price quote. http://www.rmcaudiodirect.com/Gallie...Amps-s/129.htm

Never heard of RMC before. I hit that link and they'll definitely give you 10% off. Thanks for the tip.

+1...
My gigging amp is a GK MB-500.
Great sounding, small & light, powerful, great price, and IMHO one of the best values on the market.
