Hi there i'm looking for the best possible cab and head for around about 1k....(that's about 1.6k for you americans).
Currently i think i'll go for the ampeg 810 svtE (does this mean extension? if so how is it different to other cabs?) and then the Hartke LH500 (underpowered?)....ok so that comes to about 1.1k but you get my drift.
I'm basically confused as to whether the whole Hartke (Hydrive /xl series?) setup option would be better and/or cheaper. I play heavy rock mostly and i just want something to cut through my Guitarists Marshall half stack which is only a 100watt head on a 300watt cab but seems easily loud enough over the Drummers impressive pearl and sabian setup. I also want something that i can stick with for a good long while.
Sorry if thats a bit ambiguous but i'm relativley nooby to the world of serious bass playing i guess
