This one cheapo made in china.

Just to check, replacing the woofer/driver of this unit with a better brand, can it make the sound go better?

It might, but it also could make it sound worse. The size and shape of the box (cabinet) dictates which speakers will work well in it. If you did a bunch of research and math you could possibly identify an upgrade speaker that would actually sound better; but simply buying one that is "better quality" is not a good gamble.
