Fender Bronco 40 for $439 (Link)
Fender Rumble 75 for $399 (Link)
It will be used exclusively for home practice with a possibility of playing with an electric guitar (volume isn't a problem). Obviously, the Rumble can get more sound but the Bronco is packed with effects and I would like not to have to buy any effects.
So what do you think? I can get them for a very similar price (<$500. Btw this is Australian dollars which is a LOT more than what you'd expect to pay in the USA).
The on board effects are often more of a gimmick on practice amps. They are usually hard to manipulate on the fly, making them more of an inconvenience than a feature. The Bronco's amp models may be useful and the tuner might be handy if they work well. Still, I think if you really need a bass amp, the Rumble will perform better due to the extra power and speaker size. Also, the kick back feature makes it a great monitor down the road when / if you start doing small gigs with P.A. support.
