beyma 15g40 3015lf

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi
The beyma specs state that the 15g40 will go down to 25hz
Yet people say the 3015lf at 40hz will give better bass response
is it implied that the 3015lf will have a lower bass response than the 15g40?
also the beyma is rated at 700watts and the 3015lf at 450watts does this mean the beyma will handle more power before the voice coil melts.
thanks

thats not enough info. you would need a response graph of both speakers in the same environment to determine which puts out more low end. specs are misleading. the sensitivity of the 3015lf is rated at 99.8 db, but that is only at 1khz (high mids) which is a funny claim for a low frequency speaker. also the speaker dies off below 100hz pretty quickly. 100hz is the start of the bass region. i own one and i like the sound but it will be hard to really tell unless you audition them side by side. Eminence Kappa Lite 3015LF Speakers - Eminence Kappa Lite 3015LF lightweight neodymium woofer. The Eminence Kappa Lite 3015LF is a 15 inch 8 ohm lightweight speaker with extended Xmax. The Eminence Kappa Lite 3015LF 15inch speakers are rated at 450 w

the beyma looks to be 93 db sensitivity at 40 hz, the 3015lf looks to be 83 db. quite a difference lol. yes the beyma will handle more power.http://www.usspeaker.com/beyma%2015G40-1.htm

Those response charts are measured in free air, you guys are completely ignoring the fact that you build them into a box.....that's where you get your bottom. The 3015lf runs -3db around 46-48 hz or so in a common size box.

3506strings post shows what it's all about, the 3015 can smoke the beyma.

+1. Driver data sheets are invaluable. The knowledge of how to interpret them: priceless.
