First off, I am in no way connected to the company speakerhardware.com other than being a happy customer.
I am just posting this as an FYI. I know a lot of people on this forum are interested at some level in the Bill Fitzmaurice cabinet designs. Some may be frightened off by not having the tools or skills to do the cutting of the parts. Speakerhardware.com is now selling a flat pack of the BFM Jack 112 and 110 cabinets with all the necessary parts and plans to put it together.
I built the cabs and love them. Easy to carry, light weight and sound great. I did not use the flat pack, I scratch built mine, so I cannot attest to how the flat packs will assemble. I can say that I have been impressed with the customer service at speakerhardware.com so I would guess he wouldn't sell these unless they were up to his quality standards.
Anyway, like I said, I'm just sharing this in case anyone was on the fence about the BFM cabs cuz they didn't have a table saw. http://www.speakerhardware.com/whatsnew.php
Just for fun, here is a pic of my stack of four Jack 110s.

| | | | VERY cool. That is quite a rig!!!!
That's a really nice way to dip into these cabs. I am one who is rather clueless about building this kind of stuff, but the sort of 'IKEA' type precut kit would make this doable for even a DIY schlub like me.
Nice! |

Nice! | That's true. Also, the kits include every last part you need to build the cab except the finish/covering.

Wait! Do I want 10's or 12's? |

Wait! Do I want 10's or 12's? | Some that have heard both say the 10s sound a bit better than the 12s. Other have said the 12s sound awesome. 12s are bigger (obviously) and louder. I love my 10's and I love how easy they are to carry and pack.

Having built a BFM Omni15 tallboy, I've gotta look at Leland's full kit...

I cannot imagine how loud it would be if I actually turned it up.

Paul | +1. I built 2 Jack 12s. Most of the build time was setting up the saw, cutting, and sanding (to make parts fit precisely). Assembling the cabinet was the easy part. A CNC kit is a great idea for BFM cabinets. I'm also a satisfied customer of speakerhardware.com.

After my experience, I consider the flat pack to be very cost effective.

A good set of clamps
A tube of PL and a caulking gun
A screw driver or a screw gun
A pair of saw horses or a work table and a roll of wax paper would be a good investment too most likely.
I can't think of anything else offhand, anyone else?

I can't think of anything else offhand, anyone else? | What about electronics ? Does it come pre wired, crossover in place, jack panel ?
