| | | | Bi Amping SVT 4 Pro Hey all,
I'm trying to bi-amp my svt 4 pro into a 2x15 and 4x10.
I have all the connections correct but,
what should I set the crossover frequency knob to?
I want the 2x15 to take the low B load and the 4x10 for everything else. |

I have a SVT18 which is a low freq driver cab. A local music shop has SVT4 and 410HE for a decent deal so I was considering this combination for bi amp rig.
The SVT18 is 4ohm, the 410HE is 8ohm. Is this an issue if running in bi amp mode on the SVT4?
Is there anything else to consider with this type of setup? |

Would not be an issue with the 4 Pro, and might work out quite well. Johnny April from Staind uses a version of that rig, although his has two 810's and two 218 cabs

Generally speaking you don't want to be carrying around large full range cabs to do only mids and highs.

Is there anything else to consider with this type of setup? | It might work, but you would be carrying around a heavy 4X10 to do the work that a good single 8" mid driver is supposed to be doing.

SVT18 - low freq on amp A
SVT410HE - full range or high freq on amp B
Crossover control would only apply the low freq cab
I am assuming also, that since each cab would be run by a separate amp within the 4pro, there is no issue with the impedance mismatch?
Amp A has 625W rms @ 4ohm available for the 18
Amp B has 350W rms @ 8ohm available for the 410 |
