The biggest, baddest, tube Marshall...

Sign in to disble this ad
... is coming to my place soon!

What Marshall amp sports 8 (yes EIGHT) 6550/KT88s, 3 ecc83s and 1 ecc81 and pumps out a kidney shattering, spleen melting, 400 watts of pure tube goodness?

THIS!!!!

I've been hearing a lot of great things about these monsters, and my curiosity got seriously piqued, so I pulled the trigger, and have one on the way. I really can't wait to hear it plugged into my JCM800 Bass cabs!!!! Should give the speakers a good workout!

Cheers!

looks great and i'm sure you'll love it.

could you please do some youtube clips of you playing it? solo if at all possible.

i am thinking of getting my son a tube amp and although these are expensive, they are on my list (which also includes an ampeg heritage SVT and a vintage Sunn amp, maybe a 2000s or a model T)

According to the specs it clocks in at 79lbs. It's a real heavyweight!

Cheers!

Wow that's more like a weapon than an amp!

That even puts the Fender Pro 300 to shame.

Hehehe... I think it's just missing caterpillar treads and a turret loaded with an 88mm gun!

Can't wait to hear it!

Cheers!

I really like the look of it, too. The aesthetics are much more austere compared to some of the company's other models. Looks very clean.

There's a band around here that has used one of these (or at least something that looks very similar) for years, and they've always had the biggest baddest bass tone around. I'm really hoping you don't let that thing go to waste.

Yeah, I did. It went a little higher than I'd hoped it would, but was still well under my max (and less than half what a new one would cost me). I really can't wait to get it and fire it up!

Cheers!

Oh, I won't. We play at one volume: FULL! Hehehe... well, not really, but we do go by the Motorhead handbook regarding volume!

The amp will be on it's way by tomorrow, and in my hands by early next week. I can't WAIT!!!

Cheers!
