Biggest sound, lightest weight. Help.

My rock rig is a Sadowsky SA410 and ABM500. I like the combo a lot. Yet, when I use backlines like 810, 410+115 etc, (i'm talkin' even non-boutique cabs) the big fat sound is such a turn on. I'd love that sound again, but, since my SA410's a 4ohm, I can't add to it. What's out there that will give me the sound of a big cab but won't break my back? I play fast lines, so articulation is important. Suggestions welcome.

A high percentage of that big fat sound results from having the rig as high as it is. Get a pair of vertically aligned 2x10s, stack them vertically and you'll have most of what gives an 8x10 its character.

Or a couple 212s stacked vertically.

I’m only familiar with the GK offerings, but I’m sure a few companies make light ones.

I bet those Genz Benz NeoX 212's would make for a killer stack... I'm new to 12's, but even my Mesa Scout stack feels huge onstage after playing with a single 15 for a while... and the simple fact that it's much taller than my previous setup seems to be a large part of it.

Thx guys. In the apt. I tried my Ashdown/Sadowsky + PJB/Euphonic Audio M Line Wizzy stacked. With the latter I only add 37lbs to my shlep, plus I have the option in the 2nd amp for EQ'ing, stereo efx etc.. I have a rehearsal next Wednesday. We'll see if my cross-polinated stereo stack has the balls. I'll report back.
