a bit of hartke appreciation

Sign in to disble this ad
so ive got a hartke 3500A (the one with the tolex wooden chassis) and along with it an acoustic B410 that i plan on respeakering soon. i got this rig for 350 bucks. its never had any problems, and has done great for a bunch of gigs.

Today at guitar center, i spent lots of time playing through every ampeg, they had an SVT2 and SVT4, as well as a SVT CL, all with 810s. when i went home, my hartke still sounded great up next to all of those.

Not saying ampegs aren't great, they really are. but i love that i get great tone for a rig i got for so cheap. gotta show some hartke appreciation!

The only beef I have with the older 3500 amps are the lack of a mid range shelving and the annoying hiss you get when you dial in the treble. Other than that, they don't sound too bad for the price you can get them on the used market.
