Blown fuse, info please!
Hey everybody. I've got a blackface bassman amp head with a missing fuse. It was blown them thrown out. Can I use an American car fuse that fits or what kind should I use?

NO a "car fuse" is not rated for the breakover voltage. Use a fuse that is rated at the line voltage you are using (120V) or higher. The ampere rating should be listed on the back of the amp by the fuse holder and is most likely a "Slo-Blo" type, not a fast acting (as "car" fuses are). The "amp" rating is most important, if the Volts rating is too low the fuse can arc over even though the element has blown.

Thanks. Is there a website that has amp grade fuses? Local shop fuse is only 30 Volts
