I play bass guitar in marching band at school, so I have my volume all the way up all the time. I think i might of blown the speaker from playing it like that for the past two years. What is the best way to tell if the speaker is blown?
If it does at quiet volumes something's gone bad. Gently push in on the cone and let it spring back and listen for scraping sounds in the middle of the speaker. If you hear anything it's bad. Look also for creases in the cone and places where it's coming apart aroundnthe dustcap in the middle and where it's glued to the surround around the outer edges.
If you've been cranking it to 10 for 2 years and it's not dead it's likely dying. Need more speakers.

What kind if amp, some details might help.
This definitively answers the OP question, so I'm closing this to allow some folks time to review the rules here.
