Bought a Promethean P110C 1x10 Cab

It weighs only 20 lbs and is loud. It sounds very tight and punchy. The mids sound great. The tweeter doesn't sound harsh.

However, it doesn't offer any control over the tweeter (it's always on 100%). Whenever I play a Bb note, the front grill violently vibrates, causing an annoying, loud buzz (yes, it's the front grill). All the grill screws are well-tightened.

It's a shame because it could have been my dream nano rig cab...

I wish it had tweeter control as well. I'd take it back and exchange. The grill on mine doesn't vibrate at all.

Make certain it is not air leakage and not the grill. Please do not take this as an insult on your intelligence, but I had a similar issue.

The noise, that mimicked grill vibration incredibly well in my P110C was actually air leaking through the cabinet. The joint where the face board holding the speaker is attached to the bottom port board had no glue in it at all.

Pulled the grill and the speaker. Used high grade Black RTV on all the cab joints. Let dry, re-assembled and noise is gone.

If it is indeed the grille, you could try a few different composition stand-offs or just ask the dealer for a replacement.

Good luck!!
