Bp102-4 2x10 cab build
Other members projects inspired this one.
Hoped this might do the same for someone.
Very nice work.
Especially the center brace between the drivers, where the baffle is so sparse...
Where did you get the plans for this?
Did you design it yourself?
What drivers did you use?
How much does it weigh?
How does it sound??
LOOKS GREAT!! I WANT TO BUILD ONE! :hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper::hyper:
Speechless! I really wish I could do something like this. OUTSTANDING!
Very clean build, nice work!
Very nice work .. you can really see the attention to detail and the level of your talent and craftsmanship ...
I generally run sealed cabs, so I am kind of surprised with the length of the tube ports, did specs for this come from a program?
I like that you have feet on the ends also for vertical alignment ...
that's funny I have two BP102's I was just today thinking about putting them in a cab.
did you run the cab in WinISD?
You can get bass cab tunings from Eminence website in pdf.
Thank you for your nice comments.
The design is based on half a 600w 4x10 eminence web site plan.
Checked in software.
2.5 cubic ft tuned to 43hz , 2 x 4" ports 10.75" long.
The drivers are bp102-4 4ohm 200w.
Both cabs cut from one 8x4 sheet of 18mm ply.
They are to complement an in ear monitor set up live so I will run them from
35hz to 250hz but couldn't resist testing them full range with an Ampeg svt4 head and they sound great (rock ampeg type tone)
Haven't weighed them yet but very comfortable lift due to dimensions.
Thanks again for your comments.
Looking at the Eminence cab design sheets...so you did half the 4x10 because it's the only vented one?
wait...there is a 2x10 vented design.
I'm going to build a pair of these too, a few questions though...
When modeling theses speakers what kind of frequency response is the goal, and what should be the goal?
I play 4 string in a funk band and sometimes use an octave pedal, but rarely go below C when I do.
