BP355 + GTD AUDIO M-4500 pedal+rig REVIEW

Since there's absolutely no reviews on the GTD AUDIO M-4500, I want to post my opinion on the amp.

Most opinion is that GTD Audio gear is made cheaply in china and imported to the US with GTD stamped on the equipment. I don't know if this is true but it did come with a manual in English with tech specs and the case is well built.

I bought the M-4500 for a very fair price off ebay.
The specs claim:
Power Output: 2x450W RMS @ 8 OHM
Power Output: 2x800W RMS @ 4OHM
Power Output: 900W (Bridged, 8 OHM)

I can verify this is true as I A/B ed the BP355+M-4500 vs the Shuttle 9.0. The cab I'm testing through is the STL 210T.

After my tests, I can honestly say the Pedal/Rig setup is a lot more versatile than my Shuttle 9.0, because I can mimic multiple amps and still have AMP GAIN /AMP LEVEL / MASTER LEVEL knobs on the pedal for whatever amp I select. Also, the sound is a lot more clear with more headroom less distortion, because lack of tube. But, I can still emulate a tube using the pedal.

Now the real reason this setup is so good is because the BP355 has a OUTPUT SENSITIVITY of 10dBu (2.44vrms)! And the INPUT SENSITIVITY of the M-4500 is 5.3dBu (1.42vrms). So, really the BP355 is a AMP / Pre AMP / Di more than enough to drive any POWER AMP.

In a previous rig attempt, I had a CROWN XLS 1500 paired with a Hartke VXL Pedal the problem was the volume was so low because the Hartke only had an output sensitivity of 0dBu (.775vrms) and the Crown needed (1.44vrms) for max power.

This is no longer an issue with the BP355!

The GTD M-4500 is an absolute steal and the profile when it sits on your cab is only 1U of rack space, sits lower than the shuttle!

Conclusion, the shuttle 9.0 is up for sale, and I have more power and better sound for less $$$.

I want to add one issue I've had with this rig. There's two 24volt 35mm fans on the power amp, and they are louder than most bass amp fans ran together.

What I did was add olive oil to the bearings and set the voltage to 14 volts by connecting the grounds (black wires) to a +6 volt positive joint. Now, everything is great! Hope this helps to anyone planning on purchasing a GTD audio amp!
