Until about two weeks ago it was all GK. Now it's a Genz-Benz head through two GK Neo 112 cabinets.

Sorry that I forgot Genz Benz on the list; to be honest I have never heard their amps and no one sells them in my area...I have looked. They seem to be a pretty good company.

Regarding Behringer, I wanted to see if anyone was using less expensive amps out there.

I found it interesting that Ampeg has the most votes by far. Not that its the best bass amp, but I think with it's history in the music business, it has stayed on top. I have seen Victor Wooten play through one, and a lot of rock players as well so it can meet the needs of the many.

One thing I notice where Im different from most people is that I enjoy playing a variety of quality gear and dont like to stay loyal to any one brand.

In the past few months I've owned an Aguilar Tonehammer 500, TC RH450, Genz Streamliner 900, and Genz Shuttlemax 9.2

I currently only own the two Genz amps.

I'm thinking about buying back the Aguilar and the TC because the dorks I sold them to are now wanting to sell them. Also buying a GK MB head would be cool.

If I was in a band anyone gave a sh** about and someone gave me some gear I would do the whole "I play X" thing. However why isolate?

I consider the absence of Mark Bass on the poll a big "oopsie."

Whether you like the brand or not, there are a lot of TB'ers using it.

Why does it seem that some big league players have jumped ship from Ampeg to Hartke while some like Stanley have jumped on the Ampeg bandwagon?

I have been done with standard amps since I first heard a Jule Monique preamp. It is that good.

Better than my Aguilar, 2 different GBs, Ampeg SVT and 4 other Ampegs, 3 different Mesas, TC, Carvin and Orange.

AND paired with a with a Crest/Crown/QSC/Peavey, etc. poweramp.... It is cheaper than most of the amps I have previously owned.

Cabs.... I love Bergantino.

A poll without Markbass, Genz Benz, Glockenklang, Tecamp.......??

For me mainly
Aguilar DB750,
sometimes
Eden WT400
for many years...

....however, looking for a lighter, yet powerfull amp to replace the Aggie for my less deafening gigs.
