I love my Ampeg, but when I want something with more headroom and ease in portability I prefer my GK.

Gig Rig--Carvin BX600 Head through Genz Benz 212 Neo...best sound I've ever had. Practrice Rig--Genz Benz Shuttle 6.0 12T

I've had a lot of what was mentioned above and it was all good....just my preference now (relatively light and even my wife said it's the best I've ever played through)

Walter Woods and GK MB 800. Hartke 3500 and Kickback 12 as backups with Aguilar (single 12 + single 12 with horn) and Bag End cabinets (one or two single 15 cabinets depending on the gig) Both the Woods and the GK have input impedences of greater than 1 meg. so I can use upright pickups without a pre amp or matching transformers. I always think about the room and the music I would be playing to choose the rig most suited to obtaining the best the best sound possible.

Outdoor or large indoor setup is a Mesa/Boogie Big Block Titan V12 and SWR Megoliath 8x10.

Smaller gigs and band practices is SWR Headlite and Golight 4x10.
If I'm practicing at home by myself it's a Acoustic B100.

Hartke LH1000 into 2 x 410XL's is my main gigging rig. An early '90s Fender BXR300 into a Peavey 1810 is my practice at home rig.

Currently Markbass SA450 into Mesa 2x12, but I'm starting the process of acquiring a Genz Shuttle 6.0-12t and eventually a LoPhat 1x15 3 way.

Peavey for the past 30 years. Not the most glorious tone in the world, but dirt cheap and they always, always work.
