Breaking in a new GK cab?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've seen discussions before about running some program material through your new cabinets to break them in. I just bought a new GK 115MBX. It was a floor model, so I'm sure it has plenty of wankery that it has had through it, but I wanted to make sure I didn't need to do anything to break it in efore I give it a go. I'm running a GK MB200 into it.

Thanks

Playing it breaks it in.

...

Use Clorox bleach to scrub off the wankery, then play it as loud as you can for a good 30 minutes.

That MB200 isn't going to be nearly powerful enough to damage your woofer, even if you crank it. Especially since it's been thoroughly "wanked" already.

Don't worry about it. You should be good to go.
