OK so i bought my first bass in February (black knight CB-42) and a small practice amp to go with it. However, now I only get about 30 seconds of sound from the amp before it cuts out :crying:. How can I tell which one is broken / how can I fix the problem?

If you have another amp, a mixer, something else to plug the bass in you can make an A/B test to find out where's the problem.
Did you check the cable too?

OP, I would guess from your description that the amp is at fault. How to fix? Again I'm guessing that you don't have the skills needed.

Is there a battery in your bass for the EQ preamp? Because if it's nearly flat that could cause the symptoms you're describing.

Also remember if it is an active bass (has a battery in the bass) the battery will drain with a cord plugged in. Even when you are not playing.
