Brought home a new rig of mass destruction! (Mesa+Markbass)

Hey all, I got a new rig and I need to gloat! I went out looking to downsize from my old Yorkville stack... and ended up with this monstrosity.

I got the M9 first, and after trying it with several cabs, as soon as I plugged into the Markbass 6x10 I knew there was nothing I could do... not exactly a downsize (even though it is ~15lb lighter than my old Yorkie 8x8) but it was way too killer to resist. This is my Tone Heaven, not to mention enough volume to level a small town. It's got so much punch I was able to cut through a guitarist playing through 14 4X12 cabs the first time I ever used it (more on that later lol). Hell, I had an Aphex 204 that made my last rig sound a lot better, but I now know there is such a thing as too much bass... With the Pull Deep switch on, the amount of low end is just ridiculous, not to mention I really have no use for the aural enhancer anymore! Being the older model cab (with the yellow back), I got a pretty wicked deal on it so that makes it a little sweeter.

Anyway, I brought the rig to a buddy's jam space to jam with his Ozzy/Maiden tribute band (as well as my own Motorhead tribute) shortly after getting it all together, and let's just say that while their bassist plays through 6 8x10 cabs and 4 very high powered heads (absolutely nuts, I know ), the M9 didn't need to be turned up past 3 (with the gain at 12:00) and needless to say, kept up with an EXTREMELY loud band without breaking a sweat. I thought it was unnecessarily stupid loud, but it was still good to know just how powerful this thing can be!

And of course, the proof:

So I can definitely vouch for Mesa and Markbass being a kick-ass combination!

Aw man... you got a gold swirl guard on yours...

As soon as I saw one of those I attempted to procure and was shot down since they are done for! You're a lucky fellah.

Oh, and that's one fantastic set up!

GREAT rig SlavaF congrats!!!!! Those B&C drivers in the MB cabs are really damn good!!! I diss'd 'em when they 1st came out, but it wasn't long B4 I was eating my words. A mate has a 410-same as yrs-w/ the yellow baffle & black cones- & it KICKS .....!!
One nitte I was watching him play in a good sized club where I play regularly, & he was using his Mark bass TA503(or sumthin' I know it's a 'T A' - tube in the pre & analog pwr amp) & his 410 & the bass was sounding great- in a groove/jam band of about 6/7 piece! At the break I asked him if he was using the amp's DI or an outboard one & he said it wasn't in the PA at all..... Sheeeeessshhh!!!!! That FURTHER sold me on the MB cabs. I've only got one - a HR151STD 1x15" - but it's a beauty, & weighs as much as 1/2 my old Aguilar GS115- which I LOVED the sound of, but was a heavy mutha.
And- after grabbing a MESA Walkabout Scout combo recently, I can ceertainly vouch for Mesa's quality & power ratings..... they're LOUD for the wattage!!!!!

Congrats on yr lovely rig. & keep those earplugs in- HOW many marshall cabs do these Guitards use??????????????????????? :-0
