Budget cab for a Traynor YBA200

Sign in to disble this ad
So i've been spying a couple of reasonably priced YBA200's locally. What is the best 4x10 or 2x12 cab for under $750 shipped that would sound great with a YBA200?

I am no way associated with this auction, but someone is selling the Traynor cab that goes with this head. Its a 15 in with 2 tens and a horn.
Its on ebay for a good price with free shipping, just an idea.

Good price. But lots has been written here and on other sites about how that cab just doesn't sound that great - with the yba200. But who knows - you might love it.

I found my yba200 sounded best through their 8x8 cab

I borrowed a YBA-200-2 a few weeks ago and played it through my Traynor 4/10 and Traynor 115 and the sound was amazing! Not to say that they are the only cabs to use, it was just my experience. There are lots of cabs that will sound good with that head.

if you're strong and you like a more vintage sound you might consider an old 215, myself i am just waiting to get a used mesa ph212 or an ampeg 410 to use with my mesa d180, but for now i'm running my 200 watt tube head through the 115 in my vintage marshall combo
(the marshall has a black widow speaker i put in by peavey which sounds really round and warm, but it weighs about 100lbs in the combo and i'm not getting any younger or stronger)
