Hello there!
Since my old, self built Cab just doesn't do it anymore, I decided to gut it out and build two new Cabs from its remains.
Were talking about a set of two Celestion BN12 300 X8 which I put into a 2x12 cab about two years ago.
heres the data sheet:

On that build I kinda forgot bracing, so the Cab is boomy.
My plan:
Build 2 1x12 Cabs for better sound, better portability, and overall awesomeness.
Construction:
1/2" birch plywood, bracing, about 21.5 x 15 3/4 x 15 3/4 in total size.
internal volume will be about 2.1 cu ft.
vented cabinet, tuned to about 48hz
I ran the math in WinIsd and the simulation showed the -3dB point at about 53hz and a slight bump of under 0.5dB in the 100-120Hz region.
Now a question to the guys with experience:
Will this result in a fair sounding cab?
I know, without a tweeter/midrange driver the high freq response will not be great, but I liked the way my old cab sounded in the high frequency...
Did I forget anything? Any big mistakes?
Planned time for the build is next weekend. WILL show pics of course

.
Best,
Karl.
