Question BUILDING A BASS RACK

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello to everyone. I'm new to this so can yall please be patience with me until I learn the ropes around here. I'm trying to build a good bass rack. I just purchased a Korg DTR 1000 tuner for starters. Now I need some suggestions on what I need and what brand to put in my rack. I'm caught between SWR bass amp head or Eden bass amp head. Let me know everything I need in my rack. Thanks.

You'll be getting answers all over the place. Might want to narrow your goals a little more than just a good bass rack. What type of music, power goals, type of cab, etc.

you dont need anything else other than the amp and cab/cabs of your choice, its individual, its about what sound YOU like, a tuner is handy but you have ears when you look at add ons the possibilities are endless, it can be counter productive too, and can give you major GAS

My ideal rack will be Wireless, Tuner, Bass head/pre and power amp but that might not be ideal for you

If you don't even have a head selected yet, why do you feel you NEED a rack setup ?

Seems like you are going about this in reverse.

What you need is a 12 space rack on wheels. 3 spaces on top for your head and tuner, and 9 spaces left for a rack mount refrigerator to keep the beer cold.

A rack mount fridge eh? Might want to include a power conditioner in there somewhere so the fridge doesn't induce any hum into the system.

First of all, welcome to TB.

Secondly, are you gigging a lot? Is this for studio use?
