Building a cab?

What goes into building a cab other than speakers and how hard is it to make a custom cab? Enlighten me.

Generally speaking it's just cabinet making. Nothing more, nothing less.

Seriously, some of the best reading material for the layman can be found in the fEarful threads. Find part 1 (I think we're on part seven now), and read all of the parts. You should learn a lot of the whys and wherefores as well as dos and don'ts.
