I can't imagine that a ramp would make it easier than tilting and sliding it in. The OP didn't mention what 8x10 it was, but if it doesn't have slide rails, adding them would make more sense to me than building (and storing) a ramp. On my cabs I make my own out of HMWPE, which is pretty slippery.

When I first read the topic heading, I thought the OP was going to build a ramp to jump his car OVER an SVT 810. Now THAT would be impressive!

I've always had good luck with the tilt/slide method, personally.

I sometimes use a 215 that measures about 44" tall, and load it into a Scion XB. I got one of those heavy duty plastic chair mats for office chairs to roll around on. I cut it so it would fit in the Scion with all the seats folded down. Tilt and push and the cab just slides right in and out. Works for me.

There will be a catch for the wheels, so then as you push it all just slides back in. I will have pictures up when it is all done! And has only cost me the price of wood (cheap).
That could be kinda cool. I take it the car sits too low to the ground to just tilt and slide? It would either hit the back door or fall too hard and kind of crash itself into the car?

This cost me about $30 to build and was a fun idea I wanted to try. Plus, it helps having friends with access to a wood shop! Gravity and momentum are put to use with this thing. Tilt and slide + a blanket like in that video might be easier, but thought I'd give this a shot. And the vehicle in question is a '92 Legacy wagon.
You just roll the cab up and it's momentum brings the ramp up, then it slides the rest of the way. There is a catch for the wheels to roll over and be held into place with. On the bottom of the top piece where the cab lays down, we split a 2x4 and, dog-eared the ends, sanded, and went over with a bar of soap for extra sliding powers. The bottom has a piece in the middle which the slides fit around.

Some quick snap shots, will take better ones later.

...or two large flattened cardboard boxes, positioned so one can slide over the other. Zero bucks if your garage is full of junk.

Yeah, I do also have a blanket back there. It's camo, too! The back seats are always folded down, the blanket covers it all.
If ramping with this home-made mechanism deems to be too much of a hassle, I'll just go back to doing blanket slides.

Don't underestimate the Subie! I was very surprised after folding my seats fully how much I could pack back there. But when empty, it is just a big riding area for the canine.

You don't need a ramp, man. I'll explain: Open your back hatch, then BACK THE CAB UP to the car, with the BACK of the cab facing the car. Then, gently tilt the cab back until it's leaning against the back bumper. Then, reach down & grab the very bottom of the cab, lift it, then slide it into the car, but make sure the top of the cab clears the hatch before you

There. Easy as pie.

Get it? lol........ Never mind, man. Never mind.

I think that it looks pretty good.

I have a short piece of 3/4" ply that I use to load my ATA flight case containing my SVT head. Get it on the ramp and tip it up. No way I can lift that thing into the car without damaging anything alone. The ramp works well.

Do you have a way of tying the sled and cab down? You wouldn't want it sliding forward if you hit the breaks hard.

Seriously, I mean NO offense but, the same results can be achieved with a stout cup of coffee, to get at least 1/2 of your brain cells fired up. How you gonna haul that thing around? It'd probably be more of a pain in the ass than the cab itself!!
Wait..... UNLESS ....... You find an Evel Knievel tribute act that your band can tour the state/county fair & apple butter circuit with. Then, you can have his crew haul it, AND charge him a fee to use it!! Damn, I'm smart as hell, I swear.....

Or, you could put it on top of your car to improve down force, and improve handling at high speeds. You know, kinda like this...

Hell, I'm gonna build me one & tour the county fair circuit. I see nothin' but $$$$ in my future. Hell yeah!!

OR turn the cab around and back the car up to the cab.

I used to haul a Sunn 2000s cab around in the back of a tiny station wagon. Cab filled the entire back end with the rear seats down.

Roll cab up to car with hatch open. Tip cab gently over onto bed. Go to back of cab, lift wheel side and push. Cab had a vinyl cover on it so it slid easily onto rubber floor pad.

Don't need no stinkin' ramps.

It's just 2 large pieces of ply with some 2x4 remains on them. Not too big, and not that heavy either!

Update:
Yeah, once you get a hang of where you line everything up, how much umph to give the cab, it's a really snappy loading process! Have to get just a little bit of a start, cab's center of gravity low, then once casters catch, the rest of the ramp comes right up and you it just glides right in.

Cool, man. If it works for you, it works for you.

If folks want to down-talk your system, perhaps they could load your gear for you, to demonstrate the ease of their chosen methods?

Still don't get it. The 8x10 practically loads itself into a back hatch that low. How do you get the thing over a crack in the sidewalk, a helicopter with a winch?

Sorry, that's rude. But the ramp seems much harder than tilt, push, slide.
