Building GK 400rb rack ears?

I need some rack ears for my older model GK 400rb so I contacted Gallien Krueger, but they seemed kinda expensive for two little pieces of metal. Any of you DIY-er's ever try building some? Or have any other on-the-cheap suggestions?

Mine came with them, but a couple of pieces of angle
aluminum with holes in the right places would do the just fine.
